This is a global offering campaign where anyone can donate just $1 to symbolically offer a butter lamp in support of the Zangdok Palri Temple project in Odisha, India. Each $1 offering becomes part of a mandala of light and prayer — for your loved ones, for world peace, for healing, or for the benefit of all beings.
Zangdok Palri is the pure land of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) — a realm of awakened wisdom, compassion, and boundless light. The temple rising in Odisha is a physical manifestation of this sacred realm, inspired by the vision of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche and led by Lama Sonam Tashi Rinpoche. It is dedicated to preserving the lineage, supporting young monks, and benefiting beings for generations to come.
It is being built at Dundul Raptenling Monastery, in the state of Odisha, India. This monastery was founded by Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche in 1963 and is now overseen by Lama Sonam Tashi Rinpoche.
This offering is symbolic. Your $1 offering represents a real prayer and a light dedicated to the creation of the Zangdok Palri Temple. Your contribution helps fund the construction of this sacred site, which will become a source of blessings for all beings.
However, on special days, such as Guru Rinpoche Day, we may hold a lamp ceremony if a significant milestone in the number of lamp offerings is reached by that time.
