Offer Light. Share Merit. Awaken Compassion.
In many wisdom traditions, lighting a lamp symbolizes the removal of darkness — outer and inner. A single flame can illuminate a vast space, just as a single act of compassion can touch countless lives.
On each auspicious Guru Rinpoche Day — the 10th day of the Tibetan lunar calendar — butter lamps are offered at Zangdok Palri, the sacred pure land of Guru Rinpoche in Odisha, India. Each butter lamp you offer becomes part of a sacred mandala dedicated to liberation for all beings
Offering light regularly is a powerful way to cultivate:
Monthly offerings create an unbroken river of light — a rhythm of devotion
Each month, your offering lights fresh rows of traditional butter lamps at the sacred Zangdok Palri grounds. Your lamp will be:
Dudjom Rinpoche

Each lamp you offer sustains the living presence of the Dharma in this world and helps plant seeds of awakening for all beings — now and in future lives.
Thank you for keeping the light alive.

Zangdok Palri is the pure land of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) — a realm of awakened wisdom, compassion, and boundless light. The temple rising in Odisha is a physical manifestation of this sacred realm, inspired by the vision of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche and led by Lama Sonam Tashi Rinpoche. It is dedicated to preserving the lineage, supporting young monks, and benefiting beings for generations to come.
It is being built at Dundul Raptenling Monastery, in the state of Odisha, India. This monastery was founded by Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche in 1963 and is now overseen by Lama Sonam Tashi Rinpoche.

Absolutely! While the campaign highlights the power of a single $1 offering, many supporters choose to offer multiple lamps (e.g., $10 = 10 lamps). Every contribution brings us closer to manifesting this sacred mandala.
