Zangdok Palri, the Glorious Copper-Colored Mountain, is the pure land of Guru Padmasambhava—the great master who brought Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet. The Zangdok Palri project and monastery are not merely physical undertakings—they are a sacred manifestation of Guru Rinpoche’s pure land on Earth. Rooted in the Dudjom Tersar lineage, this living mandala embodies devotion, preservation, and the collective aspiration to benefit all beings.
This once-in-a-lifetime project invites Dharma practitioners worldwide to help create a spiritual sanctuary for preserving, practicing, and spreading the Nyingma tradition. Through your offerings and prayers, the Zangdok Palri project becomes a gateway of blessings, healing, and enlightened activity.
Located at Dundul Raptenling Monastery in Odisha, India—founded by His Holiness Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche and now led by Lama Sonam Tashi Rinpoche—Zangdok Palri is envisioned as a spiritual hub for the global Nyingma, Dudjom Tersar, and Chöd sanghas.
Since its inception in 2017, the project has overcome many challenges due to its remote location and complexity. Today, nearly 50% is complete, with the foundation and outer structure already built. The next phase focuses on sacred art and interior details. With our help, we can complete construction by 2027 and open the monastery to practitioners and pilgrims.
We aim to raise 500,000 USD to complete the construction of the Zangdok Palri Project. This remaining funding will go toward crafting statues, paintings, interior sacred art, as well as completing electrical installations and landscaping.
We are honored to share words of support from eminent masters of the Dudjom Tersar lineage.
For the benefit of all sentient beings and the Buddha Dharma, and through the abundant merit of these beings, His Holiness Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshi Dorji founded the sacred Dundul Raptenling Monastery in Odisha. Lama Sonam Tashi, with pure intention and deep commitment to serving the Buddha’s teachings, is now leading a plan to build an authentic Zangdok Palri there — for the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma and the benefit of all sentient beings in particular. Therefore, I sincerely urge all benefactors and generous individuals to offer whatever support they can.

Lama Sonam Tashi of Dundul Raptenling Monastery—the sacred site in Odisha blessed by His Holiness Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshi Dorji Drodul Lingpa Tsel, the representative of Guru Rinpoche—has a sincere and pure aspiration to build a new Zangdok Palri there for the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma. Therefore, I respectfully urge all faithful and generous sponsors to contribute according to your capacity.

Kind notice to all who are interested in accumulating merit:
